MTC - Signals and Lighting

  • Construction started in July of 2008 with Roloff Construction as the Prime Contractor for the City of Omaha – Public Works, Mutual of Omaha (Owner), and Midtown Crossing (Development).

  • Major work included the installation of (10) traffic signal intersections from 29th and Farnam St to 36th and Farnam St along with two intersection on Dodge St, (204) decorative pedestrian streetscape lights with screw in bases and custom precast concrete collars/cap, (30) 40’ bronze street lighting poles with screw in bases and custom precast concrete collars/cap, (24000’) of Electrical circuits, and 480V and 208V park power distribution for events and concert,

  • The major work on the traffic signal installations included a total of (35) mast arm and lighting poles ranging from 25’ to 70’ long with foundations up to 42” diameter by 18’ deep, (205) signal heads and pedestrian signals, Loop and video detection equipment at the intersections, (11) TC2070/TC170 Signal controllers, (10200’) of 2” and 3” trenched/bored conduits with related IMSA signal circuit wiring, and (11) Tesco meter pedestal, (37) Pull boxes, (6000’) of 36 strand single mode fiber with related branches and splices, and the removal of (8) existing signal intersections.
